Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born on
August 26, 2002) is known as Lil Tecca, is an American artist and rapper. His
fame exploded after the release of his single from 2019 "Ransom",
which peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. This track was part his
first mixtape "We Love You Tecca" (2019) which peaked at the 4th spot
on the US Billboard 200. It also contained the two singles "Love Me"
and "Did It Again". The album he released as his debut studio
album,"Virgo" (2020) was released at Number 10 on the Billboard 200.
It also featured the Billboard Hot 100-charting singles "Dolly"
& "When You Down". The second mixtape he released, We Love
You Tecca 2 was released in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat
It", "Lot of Me" as well as others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe
was a son of Jamaican immigrants. He was born on August 26 2002, in Queens, New
York City. He was born in Queens in Springfield Gardens. However, Sharpe
eventually moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Sharpe was a child with dreams
of becoming a basketball player, but he switched his focus to music when he was
12. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. Tecca was just nine years old age
when he started rapping over his Xbox. They would create diss tracks directed
at one another, one of which was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but was
later removed. At first, he did not have plans to begin a musical career and
instead dreamed of becoming an NBA superstar. He started to consider music more
seriously after having dropped the interest in basketball at the age of middle
school. His first track to gain some traction, "Tectri", was created
in collaboration with his pal, Lil Gummybear, and was released in early 2017.
The other tracks he has released include "Callin" as well as
"Tectri". The song that he topped the charts "Ransom,"
which was first posted to Cole Bennett's Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on
May 22nd, 2019, started Tecca's meteoric rise. It reached number 4 on the
Billboard Hot 100 charts and has been played over 900,000,000 times on Spotify
and more than 300 million times on YouTube.
